More on the Public Option from Jacob Hacker

In the New York Times, Jacob Hacker lays out his plans for introducing the public option to the Affordable Care Act.  In “A Public Option Would Greatly Improve Obamacare,” Hacker calls for a  Medicare-like option that would compete with private health insurance companies. 

“A public option would increase coverage and create greater insurance competition at a time when some insurers (most recently, Aetna and Oscar) are pulling back.”
