Ed Kaplan Has Been Elected President of INFORMS

ISPS Faculty Fellow, Edward Kaplan, Professor of Operations Research, Professor of Public Health, and Professor of Engineering at Yale School of Management, has just been elected President-Elect of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). His President-Elect term will be 2015, making his term as President 2016 and term as Past-President 2017. Kaplan has been a fellow at INFORMS since 2005.

With over 11,000 members, INFORMS is the largest society in the world for professionals in the field of operations research, management science, and analytics. Among other things, they publish 13 well-known academic journals of relevance to business and engineering schools, including Operations Research, Management Science, Marketing Science, Manufacturing and Services Operations Management, Mathematics of Operations Research, and Organization Science.
