Charlie Gray

Title
Statistician

Charlie works as a Statistician with Professor Zack Cooper studying the relationship between healthcare quality and price, as well as examining the forces behind price growth in the healthcare industry.

Charlie completed his MS in economics from the School of Economics at Drexel University in June 2016. During his master’s program, he worked as a Research Assistant to Genevieve Pham-Kanter, an Economist in Drexel’s School of Public Health. He helped her examine the effects on consumers and physicians following the passage of the Physician Payment Sunshine Act—a law which mandates that pharmaceutical manufacturers disclose payments they make to physicians. Prior to his time at Drexel, Charlie worked as an analyst at Economists Incorporated (EI), an economic consulting firm in Washington, DC. During that time, he worked on a multitude of cases, primarily serving clients in the health care and energy industries who were involved in mergers and faced either potential or actual antitrust challenges from competitors or regulatory agencies. Charlie’s research interest include health economics, public finance, and applied econometrics.
