WHITNEY HUMANITIES CENTER PANEL EVENT

A group of distinguished Yale professors will gather for a panel discussion addressing the economics, history, and social impact of income inequality in the United States.  The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22 in the auditorium of the Whitney Humanities Center located at 53 Wall Street.  The moderator for this event is Matt Jacobson, the William Robertson Coe Professor of American Studies & History and of African American Studies.  Panelists include:

  • Beverly Gage, Department of History
  • Jacob Hacker, Department of Political Science and ISPS Center for the Study of Inequality
  • Robert Shiller, Department of Economics and Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics

This event is being held in conjunction with the gallery exhibit, “Trapped in the Middle: Photographs by Julian Fisher,” and is being sponsored by the departments of American Studies, Economics, History, and Political Science; the Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS) and the Whitney Humanities Center.
