Jennifer Tegegne

Jennifer (Jenny) Tegegne is a junior in Pauli Murray College majoring in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration (ER&M) and Education Studies. She lives in Chicago and is interested in questions of citizenship, migration, and resistance – especially as they relate to critical refugee studies and systems of social control (through schooling and incarceration).

At Yale, she is a Student Assistant at the Afro-American Cultural Center, a Public School Intern through Dwight Hall, and is involved in Criminal Justice and Education-focused initiatives like the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project and Black Students for Disarmament. Jenny is interested in learning about, and potentially working in, fields working to advance equitable and humane education and migration policies.
