Biography
Justin is a Ph.D. student specializing in American politics and qualitative and archival methods. His research broadly focuses on the creation and evolution of political parties and governing coalitions. Previous research includes a comparative analysis of New York City and Philadelphia politics during the Civil War and a project exploring what the Twelve Days Incident in Maine in 1880 teaches us about violent transitions between political eras. Justin graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and with a master’s degree in history from New York University. In his free time, you can find Justin watching classic TV shows or yelling during a Jets or Mets game.
