Associate Professor of Sociology

Andrew V. Papachristos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Yale University, a faculty fellow at the Center for Research on Inequalities and the Life Course (CIQLE), a Resident Faculty Fellow at the Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS) and Director of The Yale Policy Lab. His research focuses on social networks, neighborhoods, street gangs, and interpersonal violence.

Assistant Professor of Political Science

Kelly Rader is an assistant professor of political science and a resident fellow of the Institution for Social Policy Studies and Center for the Study of American Politics.  She received her Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University (2012) and her B.A. in mathematical economic analysis from Rice University (2002).  Her research interests include U.S.

Pelatiah Perit Professor of Political & Social Science

Stephen Skowronek is the Pelatiah Perit Professor of Political and Social Science at Yale University. He has been a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and has held the Chair in American Civilization at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. His research concerns American national institutions and American political history.

Associate Professor of Political Science and African American Studies

Vesla Mae Weaver was on the faculty of the University of Virginia before coming to Yale in 2012. Weaver is broadly interested in understanding racial inequality in the United States, how state policies shape citizenship, and the political causes and consequences of the growth of the criminal justice system in the United States.
