Ziqing Yan, ISPS Graduate Policy Fellow 2024
Ziqing Yan is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics. Her research focuses on the impact of labor market policies on workers. For example, her previous work examines the effect of occupational licensing regulations on the gender wage gap. As an ISPS fellow, she will study the cost of job displacement at the household level and its implications for the design of assistance policies. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.
Emma Zang, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Biostatistics
Emma Zang’s research interests lie at the intersection of health and aging, marriage and family, and inequality. Her work aims to improve the understanding of 1) how early-life conditions affect later-life health outcomes; 2) social stratification and health; 3) spillover effects within the household exploiting policy changes.

Henry Zhang is a third-year PhD student in English whose research focuses on the aesthetics of post-socialist transition in East Asia and its diaspora.
