Research Software

ISPS provides access to select research software for the social science community at Yale.

Speech-to-text software

Trint software

TRINT AI uses automated speech recognition (ASR) and natural language processing (NLP) to convert speech to text. Trint unlocks the value of any video or audio file by making it searchable, editable and shareable.

  • Yale researchers can request a license to use Trint for a period of 4 weeks at no cost. Researchers can request a renewal.
  • Similar to loaning a book from a library, researchers will have access to the software for the loan period only.
  • Trint does not provide long-term storage and users are responsible for backing up their content.

Trint is a licensed software. To request access to Trint, use this form.

Statistical tools for experimental research

STATWEB is an ISPS-developed tool that allows researchers to analyze experiments in which the outcome variable is dichotomous (e.g., voting versus nonvoting). Credits: Donald Green & Alan Gerber.

RANDOMIZATION TOOL allows a user to upload a list and randomly assign rows in that list to up to four experimental conditions using simple random assignment. Credits: Josh Kalla.
