Alessandra Pappalardi

Title
ISPS Director's Fellow, 2026

Alessandra Pappalardi is a junior studying Political Science (B.A./MA.) and the History of Science, Medicine and Public Health (B.A.). Passionate about community-building, Alessandra’s time as a Director’s Fellow will be spent in preparation for her internship this summer at the New Haven Democracy Fund. With the final assignment of a white paper to be shared with the Secretary of State, the Democracy Fund has tasked her with compiling comparative municipal data on Connecticut towns’ public financing transparency and interviewing New Haven residents on their conceptions of free, fair elections. Community and conversation have been absolute tenets of Alessandra’s college experience. Outside of the Director’s Fellowship, she researches pluralistic dialogue as an ISPS Dahl Scholar and her public service interests are further sponsored by the Millstone Fellowship. In her free time, Alessandra loves musical theater, practicing Italian and loom knitting, so if you’d like to chat about any of those interests or local politics, feel free to email her (alessandra.pappalardi@yale.edu)!
