Marah Rigaud
Marah Rigaud is a sophomore from Long Island, New York, majoring in Political Science and African American Studies. Her academic interests center on law and public service, with a focus on race, governance, and public policy and how institutions shape access and equity.
She has served as President of National Education Opportunity Alumni Society, where she led initiatives focused on educational access and student advocacy, producing materials and delivering workshops aimed at supporting students navigating higher education pathways. Marah has also held roles as a Pedagogical Partner at Yale’s Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning, where she collaborated with faculty to strengthen course design and promote inclusive and accessible learning environments, and as an intern at the New Haven Public Schools Office of Enrollment, where she supported district level administrative operations, data analysis, and policy planning to improve student services within the New Haven community.
In addition to her academic and professional work, Marah was selected for the Management Leadership for Tomorrow program, where she engages in long term professional development, mentorship, and leadership training focused on career preparation and strategic problem solving. Marah plans to pursue a career in law and public service to combine academic study with civic engagement and advocacy.
