INTERDISCIPLINARY CENTER FOR BIOETHICS SUMMER INSTITUTE

Join us for intriguing discussions about moral tensions within medicine, law, AI, and public health. Posters are presented by participants from over 20 countries – including Singapore, Hong Kong, Romania, India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Israel, Spain, and more. The poster session will be located in the Anlyan Center lobby and visitors are invited to drop in at anytime.

Sponsored by ISPS’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics’ annual Sherwin B. Nuland Summer Institute in Bioethics, this poster session is the culmination of a two-month program which trains attendees in the fundamentals of bioethics and includes an introduction to ethical theory, ethical policymaking, bioethical principles, terms, and history, along with sessions on some of the most pressing bioethics topics today. Students attend live lectures, small-group seminars, career talks, and special events at Yale museums and The Hastings Center, a non-partisan independent bioethics research institute allied with the Yale Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics. Participants also learn to work together in multidisciplinary teams and draw on each other’s strengths and differences. The program draws about 150 students annually — including those who attend both the full on-site program or a shorter online foundational course — from over 30 countries and American colleges.
