Zack Cooper on the UK’s NHS, Competition and Quality (Nuffield Trust blog)

Zack Cooper, ISPS Resident Faculty Fellow and Assistant Professor of Public Health and Economics at Yale, recently wrote about the links between competition and quality on the Nuffield Trust blog.

From the blog post: “Five years after choice and competition were introduced in the English NHS [National Health System], my colleagues and I undertook some work which found that competition prompted hospitals to improve clinical quality and elements of technical efficiency.”
