ISPS Launches New Public Policy Workshop Series
The Yale Institution for Social and Policy Studies is pleased to announce the launch of a series of monthly public policy-oriented lunch workshops.
Our first event will be this coming Tuesday, January 22 at noon. “The Next Four Years: A Policy Agenda for the Second Obama Term” will feature a panel of ISPS affiliated faculty experts: Amanda Kowalski, Assistant Professor of Economics, Eleanor Neff Powell, Assistant Professor of Political Science, Vesla M. Weaver, Assistant Professor of African-American Studies and Political Science, and will be moderated by Jacob S. Hacker, Stanley Resor Professor of Political Science and Director of ISPS.
The panel will discussing key policy opportunities and challenges facing the second Obama administration. Policy areas under discussion will include race and inequality, health care reform and Affordable Care Act implementation, and filibuster reform and Congressional gridlock. Lunch will be served.
In addition, please mark your calendars for next month’s workshop on Tuesday, February 26 at noon, which will feature Dorian Warren, Associate Professor of Political Science and at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
