Jacob Hacker Discusses the Middle Class Meltdown on WBUR

Tom Ashbrook on WBUR’s On Point led a roundtable discussion today on how the middle class has been losing ground, while the upper and lower income tiers have been growing,. A new Pew Research report came out December 9 showing the United States is no longer being a majority middle class country. Middle income is defined in the report as a family of three making between $41,869 - $125,608.
Jacob Hacker joined the discussion with Rakesh Kochhar, associate research director at the Pew Research Center; Tyler Cowen, economist and professor of economics at George Mason University; and Elisabeth Jacobs, senior director for policy and academic programs at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.
