Jasjeet Sekhon

Jasjeet Sekhon is chief scientist and head of AI/ML at Bridgewater Associates, and his research spans causal inference, machine learning, and experimental design, with applications in political science, economics, and epidemiology. Currently, his work focuses on developing and deploying AI systems in biomedical and social decision settings, addressing AI risk, and creating interpretable methods for finding and estimating causal relationships.

 

He came to Yale from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was the Robson Professor of Political Science and Statistics. Before Berkeley, he was an associate professor at Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. at Cornell University and his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in Canada.
