2020 CENSUS EVENT COSPONSORED BY ISPS

Did you know that the Census is used in local decision making?  DataHaven is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to improve quality of life by collecting, interpreting and sharing public data for effective decision-making.  Come find out how the Census and other public datasets impact life in the New Haven area.  This workshop is part of the library’s “Eye on the Count: Census 2020” series.  See a full listing of events here.

The featured speaker is Mr. Mark Abraham, Executive Director of DataHaven.  In his role as Executive Director, he established the DataHaven Community Wellbeing Survey program that has created an unprecedented new source of statewide- and neighborhood-level information about community life, public health, economic security, and other topics by completing live, in-depth interviews with over 35,000 randomly-selected adults in 2012, 2015, and 2018.

Registration is limited to 20.  PLEASE REGISTER AT THIS LINK.

This event is being cosponsored by the Yale University Library; the Yale Center for the Study of Race, Indigeneity, and Transnational Migration; and the Yale Instutiton for Social and Policy Studies.
