Zack Cooper, Associate Professsor

Zack Cooper is an Associate Professor of Public Health and of Economics and serves as director of Health Policy at the Yale University Institution for Social and Policy Studies. Professor Cooper is a health economist whose work is focused on producing data-driven scholarship that can inform public policy.

Professor of Diagnostic Radiology, Economics, and Public Health

Professor Forman is a Professor of Diagnostic Radiology (and Vice Chair for Finance),  Public Health (Health Policy), Economics and Management.  Professor Forman directs the healthcare management program in the Yale School of Public Health and teaches healthcare economics in the Yale College Economics Department. He is the faculty founder and director of the MD/MBA program as well as the faculty director of the healthcare focus area in the School of Management’s MBA for Executives program.

Author, consultant, former advisor to three U.S. presidential administrations, and assistant professor, Kevin A. Sabet, Ph.D., has researched and implemented drug policy for more than 20 years. In 2011 he stepped down as senior advisor in President Obama’s drug policy office, having been the only drug policy staffer to have ever served as a political appointee in a Democrat and Republican administration.

Jason Schwartz, Asst. Professor of Health Policy
Assistant Professor of Health Policy, Yale School of Public Health

 Jason L. Schwartz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Yale School of Public Health. He holds a secondary appointment in the Section of the History of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and is also affiliated with the Program in the History of Science and Medicine at Yale. He has written widely on vaccines and vaccination programs, decision-making in public health policy, and the structure and function of scientific expert advice to government.

Assistant Professor of Public Health

Jacob Wallace is an Assistant Professor of Public Health (Health Policy) at the Yale School of Public Health. His research is focused on the economics of health insurance markets with particular emphasis on the impact of managed care in public insurance programs. This area of research is growing in importance, as the government is increasingly contracting with managed care plans to deliver benefits in Medicaid and Medicare.

Prof. Reza Yaesoubi, Yale Public Health
Assistant Professor of Public Health (Health Policy)
Dr. Reza Yaesoubi’s research focuses on medical decision making and model-based evaluation of health policies. His work incorporates mathematical and computer simulation models, statistical methods, and optimization techniques to guide resource allocation and decision making in public health and health delivery systems. He has applied these methods in conducting cost-effectiveness analyses of colorectal cancer screening strategies, estimating societal willingness-to-pay for health, and characterizing performance-based payment systems for preventive care systems.
