Caleb Lee is a junior majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics with a certificate in Data Science. As a Dahl Scholar, under the advisory of Professor Alan Gerber, he is researching the status quo of literacy instruction programming for incarcerated individuals with the aim of providing direction for future improvement. This project involves close collaboration with nonprofits and correctional facilities and utilizes data analysis and a thorough literature review in order to produce a pioneering report that both researchers and policymakers can use to improve education in prison. Previously, Caleb has conducted research with Yale Law School, the Yale Center for Environmental Policy and Law, and most recently published in the American Bar Association with the Yale Initiative for Sustainable Finance. Outside of research, Caleb is the President of Yale’s Global Strategy Consulting Group and the Urban Philanthropic Fund, and serves as the Business Manager of Society of Orpheus and Bacchus, an acapella group on campus.
